Authentication types

Authentication Type Description
None Server authentication is not enabled.
Note: If device is using a third party authentication, the logged in user credentials can still be retrieved.
CAP Support
Card Authentication Package (CAP) to retrieve and make available the logged in user name and id. To enable CAP support:
  1. An authentication solution using CAP must be installed on the device.
  2. Modify <argument>-s 127.0.0.1</argument> in the DALP file before loading the Xlet to <argument>-s Autostore Server Address</argument>
  3. Add <argument>-a cap</argument> to the application element in the DALP file before loading the Xlet.
CAC support:
Common Access Card (CAC) to retrieve and make available the logged in user credentials. To enable CAC support:
  1. Ricoh CAC authentication solution must be installed on the device.
  2. Modify <argument>-s 127.0.0.1</argument> in the DALP file before loading the Xlet to <argument>-s Autostore Server Address</argument>
  3. Add <argument>-a aaa</argument> to the application element in the DALP file before loading the Xlet.
Active Directory
  • Domain Name — Enter the Active Directory domain name.
Netware
  • NDS Tree — Enter the Netware Directory Services tree name.
  • NDS Context — Enter the NDS context name.
Script
  • Script File — Enter the path to the VBScript file that contains the code that handles the authentication event.

Windows Authentication
  • Domain Name — Enter the Windows domain name.
