AutoStore object model

AutoStore processes depend on four key objects: configurations, tasks, components, and workflows.

The top-level object in the AutoStore object hierarchy is the configuration. A configuration defines one or more tasks. A task defines a process consisting of an ordered sequence of components. Property settings in a task activate and configure components to participate in workflows.

Concept Description
Configurations An AutoStore configuration is a script file that defines all the information required to run workflows on an AutoStore server.
Components AutoStore components provide the building blocks for workflows that manage documents in an organization.
Tasks AutoStore tasks specify a sequence of components for a process starting with a capture component and ending with a route component.
Workflows A workflow is the set of configured components by which documents are submitted through AutoStore. A workflow includes the capture and route components along with any process components that you activate for the workflow.
